25 Random Things... About me:

1. I married my high school sweetheart. We lived in Canada for 4 years, hung out with bands (some almost famous) on the Sunset Strip, produced 3 beautiful kids and divorced after being together for 25+ years.

2. I ran for a position on the Castaic Lake Water Agency Board of Directors in the Nov. 2000 election. I got 1,100 votes and never did one thing to promote my candidacy.

3. Non-functioning electronic doo-dads sometimes start working when I am within their vicinity. A few people on my friends list have seen it happen.

4. I was raised Mormon. I conquered the guilt trips though, thanks for asking.

5. I was Googling before it became a verb.

6. Depending on which you believe is farther east - Calgary, Salt Lake City or Phoenix, AZ - I've never been farther east than there.

7. I was involved in a long-distance relationship for many more years than I will ever admit.

8. I've eaten 2 eggs for breakfast (various ways) on weekdays for over 10 years. My LDL level is low enough for my doctor to not believe my egg story.

9. I know that hemp can significantly help heal our planet's over-farmed lands, dramatically reduce and even eliminate our dependence on fossil fuels (and therefore reduce and eliminate carbon-dioxide pollution) and can heal or eliminate symptoms of many major diseases. It also makes great paint base, rope and cloth. God/dess didn't make mistakes, folks.

10. I'm pagan. The forest is my church. My spiritual path includes bits of Wicca, Taoism, Native American folk lore & Shamanism, Buddhism, and hearing a beautiful voice tell me when I'm doing something right. That same voice is not so happy when I'm being less than honourable.

11. I have had a nearly debilitating fear of rejection for most of my life. The last five years have helped me get over it.

12. My brain goes faster than my mouth and it makes me stutter.

13. I have a phobia of socks with holes in them. Only mine, yours are ok.

14. When I fly to the Bay Area, I cannot fly into San Jose. When landing it feels like knives are being shoved into my eyes and ears. No other airport has that effect, only San Jose. Seriously.

15. I once *got* a tail-gater by changing lanes quickly where there was a pile of earthquake-caused debris in the road. I saw him hit it, and I went back to make sure he was ok. He was already leaving, so I figured he was fine. I haven't quite gotten over that guilt.

16. My BFF could kick my ass and she knows it.

17. I completely, without hesitation, believe that God/dess has a special home at Tenaya Lake in Yosemite.

18. Tina J is my kindred spirit.

19. I do voice impersonations. My ex and I once convinced a whole bar full of people that I was from Cheam, England and got free drinks out of it.

20. I'm 4th generation Californian.

21. I built my first web page in 1994. There was no Internet Explorer then because Bill Gates thought at the time that the Interwebs was never going to be a factor in people's computing.

22. My daughter's first full sentence was, "Dada gotta shotgun". I taught her that.

23. I believe somewhere in our galaxy, there's another solar system with a planet that supports life. However, I think they're at the same evolutionary point and level of intelligence as we are and haven't been visiting us. I could be wrong, though.

24. I don't fear snakes when I'm awake, but have recurring nightmares about them.

25. I am completely fascinated by photography and the masters of the art. I need a new lens... Got any spare change?
